Hamburg advances ambulance district on property tax basis

NY HAMBURG — Hamburg Town Board approves ambulance district on property tax basis. Supervisor Elizabeth Farrell Lorentz and the board held a public hearing and cleared environmental review for the proposed district, shifting emergency medical services from patient-pay to ad valorem property tax funding with an estimated first-year cost of $430,000. The board also approved a shared School Resource Officer agreement with Frontier Central School District (two Hamburg officers, Frontier paying 75 percent at $25,645.88 monthly) and authorized $212,815.04 in change orders for the Senior and Community Center project.
