NY HAMBURG — The Hamburg Board of Zoning Appeals voted unanimously to approve six area variance applications at its October meeting. Chairman Ric Dimpfl presided as the seven-member board granted variances for residential improvements including sheds, decks, garages, and a carport, plus one commercial wall sign variance for Hamburg Holdings DE LLC. Homeowners cited drainage concerns, elderly parent safety, winter weather conditions, and flood risk as justifications for the variances.
The board found in each case that feasible alternatives were not available given the irregular nature of the properties.
