NY HAMBURG — Hamburg establishes ambulance district with property tax funding model. The Town Board unanimously ordered a public hearing on August 24 for a Hamburg Ambulance District to replace current patient-pay services with centralized district funding supported by ad valorem property taxation. First-year estimated cost is $430,000, with assessment rates ranging from $0.1572 to $0.1899 per $1,000 of assessed value depending on whether villages participate.
The board also approved zoning amendments for the Buffalo Bills Stadium Economic Impact Area, regulations governing unmanned aircraft operations, and authorized purchase of a $307,515 plow truck. A public hearing on the ambulance district will determine final boundaries and exact funding allocations.
