Hamburg Town Board approves police hires and infrastructure funding

NY HAMBURG — Hamburg Town Board approves police staffing and community development grants. The board unanimously appointed three Police Officers at $31.01 per hour each and promoted three officers to Detective Sergeant, Narcotics, and Lieutenant positions effective May 19. The board approved Community Development Block Grant agreements totaling $200,000: $100,000 each to the Village of Blasdell and Town Highway Department for infrastructure and street reconstruction, plus funding to Village of Hamburg for housing and services.
The board awarded a $59,000 brick repair contract to Highland Masonry and Restoration Inc. and solicited proposals for Hamburg Town Park beach concessions for 2026-2027 with an option for 2028.
