Hamburg Board approves rezoning, pursues $7M federal grant

NY HAMBURG — Hamburg Town Board authorizes pursuit of $7 million federal grant for Buffalo Bills Stadium corridor project. The board voted unanimously to authorize EECG Consulting, LLC to prepare a grant application to the New York State Department of Transportation for multimodal transportation improvements, with a required local match of $956,100 from General Fund Balance. Supervisor Elizabeth Farrell Lorentz and Councilmembers Daniel Kozub, Frank Bogulski, Lynn Dixon, and Nick Ortiz also unanimously approved rezoning 4.14 acres at Southwestern Boulevard and Big Tree Road from Local Retail Business District to General Commercial District, permitting development of an 8,700-square-foot travel center with gasoline service and quick-service restaurants.
