NY HAMBURG — Hamburg Planning Board advances solar project to county review, April hearing set. The Board accepted EDF Power Solutions' 2.5 megawatt Eighteen Mile Solar application and forwarded it to the Town Board for host community benefit agreement consideration, with county and state environmental review authorized. The project, generating 3.9 million kilowatt-hours annually on 9.25 leased acres, was tabled to April 15.

Chair Cynthia Gronachan raised concerns about landscaping adequacy, residential noise protection, and well and septic insurance for neighbors. The Board also tabled a childcare center sketch plan pending full site plan submission.
