Town Board · Meeting of January 26, 2026
NY HAMBURG — Hamburg Town Board approves proclamation celebrating Palace Theatre's 100th anniversary since its 1926 opening. The board unanimously recognized the theater as a cultural landmark in the Village of Hamburg with a 5-0 vote, applauding its century of entertainment and community service. The board scheduled three public hearings for February 23 on proposed code amendments: rezoning parcels in the Lakeview area, establishing regulations for smoke and vape shops with 500-foot setbacks from schools and residences, and amending mandatory training requirements for Planning and Zoning board members.
Supervisor Elizabeth Farrell Lorentz was designated as the town's official delegate to the Association of Towns Annual Meeting in New York City.
