Hamburg Town Board passes three local laws, approves computer equipment lease

NY HAMBURG — Hamburg Town Board unanimously passes three local laws and approves computer upgrade. The board adopted zoning amendments creating Article LX to regulate smoke shops and vape shops, updated training requirements for Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals members, and established a new Lakeview Commercial District designation. Supervisor Elizabeth Farrell Lorentz led the unanimous votes.
The board also approved a 60-month lease-to-own agreement with Hewlett Packard Enterprise for $256,478 in computer workstation upgrades town-wide, with monthly payments of $4,904.70. Updated Budget Transfer Authorization and Purchasing Card policies were also adopted. The board approved multiple travel authorizations, personnel actions, and a proclamation honoring Nancy Maisano, Mark Maisano, and the Longboards crew for their thirteen-year operation at Hamburg Beach.
