Planning Board backs rezoning for Southwestern Boulevard traveler center
Planning Board · Meeting of February 4, 2026
NY HAMBURG — Hamburg Planning Board approves gateway rezoning for traveler center. The Board recommended rezoning a 4.14-acre parcel at Southwestern Boulevard and Big Tree Road from C-1 to C-2, allowing Briad Development LLC to build a small-scale traveler center with an 8,700-square-foot building, quick-service restaurants, fuel stations, and 57 parking spaces. The recommendation includes conditions requiring a landscape buffer along Big Tree Road and a traffic study, with Board members expressing concern that proposed parking may be insufficient during Buffalo Bills gamedays.
The recommendation moves to the Town Board for final action.
